The ice was hot on Jan.15 at the Kap RCC as the Kapusaksing Dufour Waste Disposal Flyers took on the North Bay Trappers in a rough game of hockey that saw the Flyers triumph 4-3.

Flyers take three of four points

The Kapuskasing Dufour Waste Disposal Flyers continue to increase their total points in the Great North Midget League standings, as the local club took three of a possible four points in a pair of games against the first- place North Bay Trappers this past weekend.

Kap Nordic Skiers say “THANKS”

As a result of funds raised at the 2015 and 2016 Kap Gives Back Charity Hockey Tournaments, the Kap Nordic Skiers have been able to purchase a new Ginzu Groomer and a new snow machine for the club.

Encouraging creativity in youth

A new club in Kapuskasing is bringing youth together in order to foster and encourage creativity and play each week at Coeur du Nord's library on Sunday afternoons.

Members of the OPP in Kapuskasing were stopping motorists in the Circle on Dec.21 to distribute free bluetooth devices in order to help combat distracted driving. Combatting distracted driving

Motorists in Kapuskasing who were travelling in the Circle Dec.21 may have been in for a surprise when they were flagged down by members of the OPP and handed a gift to combat distracted driving as the OPP and Spacek's held their annual bluetooth giveaway initiative.

New pool to see completion in 2018

Following high community demand for a new aquatic facility, the Town of Kapuskasing has begun preparations for the construction of a new pool that is set to finished by March 2018.
