Supplied photo Every Wednesday, seniors who do not have a readily available means of transportation anxiously await the arrival of the “grocery bus” at Finlandia Village. Gino Rocca, store manager, Vrab’s Your Independent Grocer. has supported this initiative for many years. This activity supports the residents at Finlandia Village with their weekly grocery and errand run, but more than that, has become a highly anticipated social outing where neighbours are able to meet neighbours, and engage in their daily living with the support of much needed transportation. Back row second from right, Rocca is joined by Paul Villgren, director, Finlandia SISU Foundation, and many thankful residents from Finlandia Village. Kiitos!
