Porcupine Health Unit to host Senior Health Fair

Seniors in Kapuskasing will have the opportunity to get a flu shot and receive information on the various services and programs offered in the community for them on Oct. 24 at the Civic Centre as the Porcupine Health Unit hosts a Senior Health Fair.

Residents of Kapuskasing and surrounding area are being invited to take part in an evening of fashion, jewelry and more as Blooming Bouquet Flowers and Gift Shop will be hosting the Dress for a Cause fashion show fundraiser on Oct. 19.

Kap hosts Northern Strongest Man competition for charity

Kapuskasing was host to a number of professional and semi-pro athletes over the weekend, as the community was host to the Northern Strongest Man competition on Oct. 13-15 at the Nikan Mino Fitness Centre.

KAPUSKASING - Members of Kapuskasing braved the weather and came together last Friday night in order to participate in the annual “Take Back the Night” walk hosted by Habitat Interlude and poised to raise awareness and protest violence and sexual violence against women.

Kap braves weather to run for hope

KAPUSKASING - The annual Terry Fox Run took place on Sept. 17 with dozens of community members braving the fierce rains and cold chill in order to participate.

Bringing Youth Bowling Back

Kapuskasing will soon be seeing a renewed Youth Bowling Club as recognized bowling coach Lorraine Peters will be returning to lend her skills to teaching the youth the sport.
