KAPUSKASING - Les Boys Sports Excellence raised $490, and a truck filled with food and gifts for the Kapuskasing Food Bank earlier in December through their first annual Reindeer Run hosted on Dec. 9.

OPP teams up with local schools to raise money for United Way

KAPUSKASING – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) challenged students from Cité des Jeunes, the Kapuskasing District High School (KDHS) and Echo du Nord on Dec.4 to games of volleyball in order to raise funds for United Way.

KAPUSKASING – Riverside Park in Kapuskasing is set to light up on Dec. 3 as the town will hold its annual Festival of Lights to celebrate the winter season.

As part of a volunteer program, four employees of Union Gas volunteered their time alongside members of the Food Bank on Nov.8 to help sort and organize 4,000 lbs of food brought in from the Annual Kapuskasing Fire Department & Kapuskasing Minor Hockey Association Food Drive held earlier in the week.

Kap Food Bank thrilled with community generosity

KAPUSKASING - It has been a fulfilling week for the Kapuskasing Food Bank as it received a combined total of 5,000 lbs. of food and over $4,000 in donations split between the Annual Kapuskasing Fire Department & Kapuskasing Minor Hockey Association Food Drive, the Zombie Walk and Dance, and the Union Gas Helping Hands in Action program.
