Kapuskasing Resident Kaylee Wedge recently participated in the Canadian Senior Weightlifting Championships on Team Ontario. During the competition she participated in two events: Snatch: 66kg, 69kg and 71kg (156lbs) and Clean and Jerk: 80kg, 84kg, and missed 87kg (192lbs) in the Under 63kg bodyweight category. KAPUSKASING – Sensenbrenner Hospital was the recent recipient of $5,000 on April 18, as the Daughters of Isabella donated a part of the proceeds from their annual Winter Carnival Canadian Supper to the hospital to help contribute towards the purchase of a CT Scan.
