Young Entrepreneurs Learn about Business at Camp Ongrandi/Cadanac

An exciting business experience awaits youth between the ages of 9 and 13.  They will participate in a 5-day summer camp unlike any other in our region from July 9th to July 13th, 2018. Youth Enterprise Camp, brought to you by Head Start in Business and sponsored by Regional CFDCs, FedNor, Ontario Trillium Foundation, Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation and other corporate sponsors, is a one-of-a-kind business camp where all participants will embark on a journey into the world of entrepreneurship. The camp is held at Camp Ongrandi/Cadanac where campers get to participate in great summer activities including swimming, exciting outings, recreational games, campfires and much more.

Young Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet new friends, create their own business and they may even make a profit that is theirs to keep.  Camp participants will be under the supervision of Head Start in Business and Camp Ongrandi Staff.

By the end of the week, campers will recognize various qualities, characteristics and attitudes within themselves that can be related to entrepreneurship. Campers will also learn how to be team players, creative thinkers, better their organizational skills and goal setting skills all aimed at self-discovery. Campers will run their own “Business for a Day” on Friday, July 13th, 2018 at Riverside Park from 10 am to 1 pm. Kapuskasing residents are invited to come support these ambitious young entrepreneurs!

This camp will host participants from Hornepayne to Kirkland Lake, including Timmins. For more information on this camp, please contact Annie Pauzé at 705-337-1407 or by email at
