Jennifer Aniston fears Friends would not make it to air today, because it would be a show about six people staring at their cellphones in a coffee shop.

The actress became a household name thanks to the hit TV show, which ended in 2004, and she has so many fond memories of her time as Rachel Green -- but she can’t imagine a revamp.

“We were jokingly saying that if Friends was created today, you would have a coffee shop full of people that were just staring into iPhones ...,” she said during an appearance on Arianna Huffington’s new Thrive Global Podcast. “There would be no actual episodes or conversations.

“If I think back before devices, I’m trying to think first, which came first, my bad sleeping habits or a device? I honestly think I used to sleep beautifully and I don’t think I attributed to the fact that these phones came into our lives that have actually started to disrupt our sleep (sic).”

Aniston still keeps in touch with her Friends castmates and last year organized a quiet reunion at a pal’s house.

Former co-star Lisa Kudrow recently insisted the get together had nothing to do with business or any kind of TV or film reunion -- it was just a chance for old pals to chat.

“That was the first time since we had finished the show,” Lisa told Access Hollywood Live. “It was just like, ‘When is everyone gonna be in town?’ I think it was just sort of enough’s enough ... and it took months to actually get to that.

“We had to go to someone’s house.”

Kudrow admitted it was a great night out and it’s such a pity that she and her former co-stars, Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, are all too busy to hang out more often.

“We were just laughing all night, it was really fun,” she added. “We had a great time.”
