A 17-year-old Alabama teen is in critical condition after being beaten for his pro-cop viewpoints.

According to Al.com, Brian Ogle has a cracked skull and brain trauma following the weekend attack. His mom Brandi Allen is calling the attack a “hate crime.”

"I want to see them in jail," Allen told ABC News. "This most certainly is a race issue, it's a hate crime."

The young cop defender had been posting pro-police content on his Facebook page. In the backdrop of rising tensions between police and minorities, the missives became a flashpoint.

“I am not one to ‘sweep’ any crime under anything - much less a crime as violent as this,” Police Chief Kelley B. Johnson said.

Party store worker refuses to sell balloons for cop memorial.

A Pennsylvania balloon store employee allegedly refused to fill an order for a fallen police officer, according to one customer.

Karli Lane told WPXI she was purchasing black and blue balloons at Party City in Pleasant Hills, Pa., for her friend, police officer Robert GoGo Jr., who died in a motorcycle crash when he was off duty last month. When told what the balloons were for, the clerk refused to help.

"How can you not support a police officer," the fallen cop’s sister Jennifer Martino asked. "It doesn't matter. They don't know my brother. They don't know what kind of man he was. They don't know what he did in his job. It just hurts."

Party City said the company supports “all police officers” and is looking into the matter.
