Torontonian wins $50M lotto jackpot

Someone in Toronto spent $5 to make $50 million.

The winning ticket from the Friday Lotto Max draw was bought by someone in the city, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced Saturday morning.

Four other Ontarians joined the millionaires' club Friday.

Three winning Maxmillions tickets - worth a cool $1 million each - were sold in Mississauga, Hamilton and Oakville, and one Encore ticket, worth $1 million, was sold in Hamilton

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario Lotto Max players have won over $2 billion in prizes, including 34 jackpot wins and 205 winning Maxmillions tickets.
