Don't get too excited about the prospect of booze being sold in Ottawa corner stores.

Premier Kathleen Wynne on Thursday indicated the provincial government won't allow sales outside of LCBO stores.

"It's not under consideration at this point. I think we have a good distribution network of alcohol right now," Wynne told reporters at Ottawa City Hall. "I know that's an ongoing discussion among some of the corner store owners."

Mac's Convenience Stores made the case this week for selling alcohol at its 547 Ontario locations. The company says it would create 1,600 full-time jobs.

Much of Wynne's speech to a business audience Thursday focused on job creation and economic growth.

Do you think corner stores in Ontario should be able to sell booze?
